Topic: Our keynote speakers of the evening, Raoul Stocker and Peter Brülisauer – both Deloitte Partners - will explore “The extension of the PE concept in the direct and indirect tax environment”.
The Action Plan on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS Action Plan, OECD, 2013a) called for a review of the permanent establishment definition to prevent the use of certain common tax avoidance strategies that are currently used to circumvent the existing PE definition, such as commissionaire/contract manufacturing/tolling arrangements, new business models followed by digitalization of value chain, and the splitting up of contracts.
The key note speakers will address the changes and ay out the practical direct and indirect tax impacts on the daily business of a Head of Tax of a multinational company.
Yet the main stars of the eve will be you, so that will be followed by a lively exchange of your views on the matter.
