February 20th IRS Audit Clinic

We are excited to announce TEI Baltimore-Washington Chapter will be holding an IRS Audit Clinic on Thursday February 20th, 2020 at the McLean Capital One Corporate Office building. We welcome representatives from Sidley Austin as guest speakers. The agenda and CPE details for the meeting are below. The Seminar will be conducted in a workshop/case study format. Cases will be provided via TEI Connect before the seminar.

For TEI members who have paid their $125 annual “season pass,” there is no additional charge for this event.  Please register for the season pass by clicking on this season pass holder link. If you have not yet paid for the season pass, you can pay it at this meeting by check or credit card.  

Other TEI members and guests will be charged $50.  The fee covers breakfast, lunch, snacks, and all materials.  Cash, check, or credit card payment will be taken at the event.

PARKING:

All visitors driving  to Capital One McLean Campus are asked to park at an overflow garage (about 0.4 miles away from the Campus and take a shuttle that runs continuously). The offsite garage is located at 1750 Old Meadow Road, McLean, VA 22102, which is right across from the McLean Metro Station. Capital One Campus is also walking distance from the McLean Metro Station (Silver Line).  

  • Access to Overflow Garage: Obtain a ticket at the gate kiosk upon entry and park at any open place and take the shuttle to get to Capital One buildings called M1 and M2. Get off at M1 entrance and Check-in with Security as a visitor attending the seminar. Capital One visitors can get their tickets validated by Capital One prior to leaving campus. Non-validated tickets will incur the parking fees posted in the garage.
  • Overflow Parking Shuttle: The shuttle runs continuously between Capital One facility entrances (M1 and M2) to the Overflow Parking Garage.


There is also on-site parking. However, that is $30 if you are parking for more than 6 hours. If you are parking for less than 6 hours, it is $10. 

SPEAKER MATERIALS

The TEI Baltimore-Washington Chapter is committed to environmental conservation.  Our events will be paperless.  All registered attendees will receive speaker materials in advance of the meeting.

 

RECOMMENDED CPE CREDIT

The professional education credit (NASBA) to be awarded will be 6 hours. The instructional delivery method is group-live. There are no prerequisites, and no advance reading or preparation is required. An attendance record will be maintained..

The Baltimore-Washington Chapter of Tax Executives Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.  State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.  Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
