Pricing

Please note that for the 2017/2018 season there are again member and non-member pricing options for season passes.

We encourage participants to consider membership in the National TEI organization. The annual membership dues are $225, however, TEI is currently waiving the $200 initiation fee, so it’s a great time to become a member. Please refer to TEI’s website at https://www.tei.org/membership/ for information on membership benefits.

Pricing for the 2017/2018 season is as follows:

Meeting Type

TEI Member Price

Non-Member Price

TEI half-day forum

$200

$200

TEI full-day forum

$225

Season Pass

$725

$800

The season pass price provides a savings of $1,125 for members ($1,050 for non-members) compared to purchasing all meetings separately. The season pass will provide savings if you plan to attend at least five half-day sessions. For TEI members, this equates to approximately $14 per CPE hour for the season ($16 for non-members).

You may pay for both season passes and monthly meetings with a credit card through PayPal, or by check. Payment for season passes should be made by Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Please see the attached RSVP form for payment instructions.

WE NEED YOUR INPUT – Are you interested in a Better Business Writing course for yourself or those at your company?  In our ongoing effort to deliver relevant soft skills content in addition to technical tax courses we are considering offering a Better Business Writing class this season. The speaker for this session will be the distinguished Bryan Garner who has extensive experience teaching business writing to professionals in a humorous and engaging format. Things to note: (1) this half-day course is intended for tax professionals at all levels, (2) this course is not included in season pass, and (3) the separate fee is $250 per person (to cover speaker fees). Because of the significant financial commitment required book this speaker, we need an indication now of (a) your interest in this course and (b) approximately how many individuals your company would send to such a session. Please provide us your feedback with your response to the season pass. Specific details for “Better Business Writing” are at www.lawprose.org.

INTRODUCING “TEI CONNECT”On September 5, TEI will be launching a new website with content that is accessible by both members and non-members (there is also member-only content). Instructions to register and use the website are on the home page: https://teiconnect.tei.org. TEI Members will receive an email introducing them to TEI Connect with tips on setting preferences, obtaining chapter/regional information and finding special interest groups. Non-members who set up an account can join the Seattle Chapter Public Community; joining the committee will give non-members access to event notices and files posted in this public community and the ability to be included in distribution lists.

If you have any questions regarding the 2017/2018 TEI meeting schedule or have problems accessing the website, please contact Mary Melton at teimelton@gmail.com or me at mchau@tableau.com.

See you in September.
