Please join us for our 20th Year! We are excited to announce that The Tax Executives Institute – New York Chapter is again partnering with the IRS for an LB&I Northeastern Compliance Area update and will feature the LB&I Commissioner, Nikole Flax.

We will be bringing you this conference LIVE via Zoom.

There will be three separate Conference sessions—you can register for one, two or all three sessions. Each session has a conference fee of $50.00.

Session 1 - Monday, September 20th – 9:00 AM – 11:15 AM

LB&I Examination Update:

Nikole Flax, LB&I Commissioner will provide an LBI State of the Union update and then join a panel with Darlena Billops-Hill, Acting Director of NECPA, and Nancy Wiltshire, DFO – Mid-Atlantic to discuss Compliance Priorities (Campaigns, CAP and LCC), the LB&I Workforce and IRS Examination Communications as well as provide an update on the Taxpayer First Act.

Domestic Tax Issues:

Cliff Scherwinski, Director of Pass-Through Entities and Cheryl Teifer, Director of Field Operations Engineering will talk about Large Partnership Compliance Initiative, the current initiatives impacting the Research Credit

Appeals Updates:

Shelley Foster, Director, Examination Appeals and Reinhard Schmuck, Program Manager of Appeals, will speak on a panel regarding the latest developments in Appeals including COVID-19 and how Appeals is dealing with the challenges.

International Tax/Cross Border Activities (“CBA”):

An LB&I Update on Campaigns, the Large Corporate Compliance (LCC) Program and FTC Redeterminations are among the topics to be discussed on the panel which includes Orrin Byrd, Director of Field Operations CBA.

Transfer Pricing – Tax Certainty:

Featuring Jennifer Best, Director, Treaty and Transfer Pricing Operations and John Hughes, Director, Advance Pricing and Mutual Agreement who will discuss Tax Certainty including ICAP (including Pillar 1 and Pillar 2), Joint Audits (including Confidentiality concerns), APAs (including multilateral APAs) and Benchmarking.

New York CPE credits will be awarded to participants. Participants will be awarded CPE credits if they are registered and respond to the polling questions during the session.

You must view this webinar on the desktop application of Zoom. If you have not already done so, you will need to download this. This application is the only way to view the polling questions that are required for CPE purposes. Phone call-ins and web viewing will not be eligible for CPE credit.
