Dear Friends,
The G20 are putting enormous political pressure on participants to make progress with the Inclusive Framework and its work on tax challenges of the digitalization of the economy. Politicians want to see change – and results have to be delivered soon. In May 2019, the "Programme of Work" was published and on 9 October 2019, the OECD has published a public consultation document containing a proposal for a "Unified Approach" under Pillar One. Its implications are relevant across industries and sectors. What will the new rules on nexus and profit allocation look like? Will there be consensus? Our Members are looking for simplicity, certainty and avoidance of double or multiple taxation – will we get it? All of this and more will be addressed in our next roundtable, this time sponsored again by KPMG.
Keynotes: Peter Ueberlhart, Head of Tax Policy, KPMG AG; Robert van der Jagt, Tax Partner Meijburg & Co, Chairman of KPMG's EU Tax Centre.
Participation is free, but places are limited. First registered, first served. Note that the event is open to any in-house tax professional – please feel free to invite your friends. Please confirm your participation to alexander.koelbl@gdels.com
This event is meant for in-house Tax Professionals who want to master and/or shape the trends of international taxation, instead of getting lost in the maze of upcoming regulations. Make no mistake: Politicians and Tax Authorities alike are serious about reforming the international tax environment – it is up to us to make sure this does not come at too heavy a price to the ease of administration and global growth!
As usual, we will strive to keep this session interactive. So the main stars of the eve will be you – please come along with your questions and a sharing attitude!
And make sure that the conversation will continue to flow during the Apéro Riche, kindly sponsored by KPMG.
We look forward to seeing you again on the 11th December!
With our kind regards
Your TEI Swiss Roundtable Organization Team
